Tech Note: These are the only electric lockers made to fit a Dana 80.
The ECTED Max is a selectable traction device; an on/off switch mounted near the driver is required.
Caution: Ected Max is a high-performance locker. We highly recommend upgrading to stronger ring & pinions and axles with the installation of an Ected Max. Engage the Ected Max on the fly at any reasonable speed when all four wheels are on the ground.

You get a full one-year (or 12,000-mile) warranty, and four years of D-REX coverage. No matter the reason, if your Auburn Gear differential fails to function as designed within the first four years after purchase, we will replace your unit for the price of a competitor'sclutch pack.
D-REX stands forDifferential Replacement EXchange Program
Auburn Gear's limited slip differentials are designed and manufactured with a robust and unique cone-clutch mechanism. However, due to machining and assembly processes, the differential case and side gear/ cone-clutch mechanism are a matched set and therefore non-rebuildable. All other components within the Auburn Gear differential are replaceable and service kits are available. In order to address the non-rebuildable components within our limited slip differentials we offer the
D-REX unit.
The Auburn Gear replacement comes
fully assembled and ready for installation. In addition, any new product improvements are included.
Qualifications for the D-REX Differential Replacement EXchange Program
1. In order to qualify, the unit must have been purchased within the last 4 years. This can be determined either from your original dated receipt OR by the date code stamped on the differential case.
2. Contact your distributor justdifferentials.com/returns or Auburn Gear at (206) 925 3200, Ext. 328 or Ext. 310, to get your Replacement Exchange Number (RE#). Do not return your unit without getting this number. Units received without RE# identification will be returned to sender.
3. Fill out the Replacement Exchange Paperwork if available (in original box or print details off Auburn Gear Web site). Indicate the RE# as provided by your distributor or Auburn Gear on the outside of the shipping box. Place the paperwork with the unit to be replaced and ship to Auburn Gear.
NOTE: Distributors may charge an additional handling fee for administration of this program. Also, if time is an issue, check with distributor to see if they have an extra unit in stock; they may be able to supply a replacement unit more quickly. Do not return the differential with bearings and/or ring gear installed. Auburn Gear will not be held responsible for products returned with these components installed; they will be scrapped.
